Message the secondary maps and the "5th gear" maps are NOT left untouched by JWT. THey are IDENTICAL to the primary maps. ie JWT negates any benifit of the secondary maps. You are correct that it makes the car more consistent HOWEVER it is a fact that the car switches from primary to secondary maps based on the knock threshold map which is also adjustable.

FACT is the JWT takes away that capability. This is OK IF the driver is fully aware and keeps an ear open for possible detonation etc but for the average joe its taking away a feature of the stock Nissan ecu.
